This free-standing building is sited on a small clearing near the edge of the woods. It was designed to resemble a Japanese teahouse, both in appearance and construction methodology, while utilizing standard building materials. The screened exterior encloses a large open space for entertaining and dancing as well as a summer kitchen. This addition to the client’s small farm creates valuable exterior space while providing some protection from the elements.
