This new house was designed for a couple in 2000 in collaboration with Evan Stoller. The owners wanted an open plan primarily on one level with a variety of exterior spaces, both private and social. The thirty acre site is sloped and was mostly wooded, but we cleared a large area for the house and garage and excavated enough for a family room with a walk-out on the lower level. The interior is filled with custom wood cabinets and storage components which we designed and were built and installed by the husband.
